Our Roots

KentRidge Instruments (KRi) Pte Ltd is a spin-off company from the National University of Singapore (NUS). KRi's interests are in control, materials and software engineering technologies which are geared towards the educational, electronics, medical and other related industries.

KRi was founded by Prof. C.C. Hang , now deputy vice-chancellor of NUS and Assoc. Prof. S.H. Teoh, now Director of the Laboratory of Biomedical Engineering. The company was formed initially to commercialize two inventions from the founders and to provide contract R&D to other companies.

KRi Corporate Objectives

The corporate objectives of KRi are:

Profit - Of course, one prime motivating force in the existence of KRi is to generate profit.

Fields of Interest - The primary interest of KRi is in hi-tech and highly-automated instruments which could be used in educational, electronics, medical and related fields in science and engineering.

Growth - KRi's strategy in growth is to carry out regular up-date on novel ideas, perform constant R&D, continuously improve productivity and target global market.

Management - KRi stresses on leadership qualities and adopts an open style management in employer-employee relationship and wants to emphasize to every employee that KRi has their best interest in mind.

People - KRi believes that a company is as good as the people in it.

Environment - KRi is committed to our green environment.

Our Links

KRi still maintains a link to the University through our parent company, NUS Technologies Holding Pte Ltd. We are also extending our links with other local and overseas universities, in areas relevant to our business, to tap their resources by means of collaborative research or engagement of their experts as consultants.
